It is possible to move your unique domain name A- to the AQWebIT servers or B- from our servers to a provider of your choice.
In both cases you need an EPP or transfer code.
An EPP code is a unique code of a domain name that is necessary to transfer the domain name. The EPP code is provided by the Extensible Provisioning Protocol and is required when transferring, renewing or securing a domain name.
The EPP code can also have the following names:
Authorization key
Authorization code
Registrar auth code
Transfer auth code
Domain lock key AUTH ID
AuthInfo Code
Token
Moving code
In case A, you can log in to the Customer Portal of your current provider, log in to the provider with whom you previously registered the domain, and request this code. You then use this code on the AQWebIT Customer Portal to start the transfer process. It varies per provider where exactly you can find this code. Sometimes it is necessary to request this via the provider's Helpdesk because of this sensitive information.
In case B, you can log in to the AQWebIT Customer Portal and request this code under your domain name. You then use this code with your new provider to start the moving process.
NB! It may take 5 to 7 days for your domain name to be transferred. So plan this well in advance.
If you can't figure it out, you can always create a ticket. Then we will be happy to help you further.
